A word of encouragement and a challenge!

What are we about?
What has God called us to d?
It is about one thing! Romans 12:16 says it well:

I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.

In the work of Teen Challenge you are carrying out the most noble and worthy of all causes; the ONE thing that really matters! It may seem burdensome; it will at times seem futile. You will, at times be frustrated and weary and you will feel on the inside like the feet look in this picture on the outside; BUT you are living the heart of God! And His heart is glad for the righteous battle you so bravely engage in! God thinks you and your feet are beautiful. Why? Because of what you (and they) do – proclaim the gospel! God is proud of you! Carry on in His strength and grace. Know that you are living out the heart of God as you carry His love and truth to the hungry, broken and lost. Read these scriptures and let them encourage your heart and challenge your focus!

How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” Romans 10:14-15

How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.” Isaiah 52:7

. . .and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. Ephesians 6:15
