Funding for your Curriculum

OK this may seem like boring stuff to you. However, LFTL is a tremendous blessing to your ministry. So I want to provide some basic information to help you better understand LFTL and to assist you with applying for funds.

LFTL is the missions funding resource of the Assemblies of God Men’s Ministry that provides funding to our missionaries and outreach ministries. http://lftl.ag.org

LFTL has one guiding principle: All Light For The Lost assistance must be to provide resources directly related to evangelism. The Men’s Ministry of the Assemblies of God believes in Teen Challenge and the Teen Challenge Curriculum because it is for immediate evangelistic follow-up and because many students find Christ in the TC classroom, so they graciously fund the GSNL and PSNL curriculum.

Here is a list of resources you can request LFTL funds for. Your request is limited to these items:

  1. Teen Challenge Group Studies for New Life in Christ Curriculum
  2. Teen Challenge Personal Studies for New Life in Christ Curriculum
  3. Living Free Curriculum
  4. Bibles
  5. Evangelistic Outreach Tracts
  6. Books that have a salvation message in them MAY be funded. You must provide specific reference information to the salvation message or a copy of the salvation message from the book when requesting funds for a particular book.

How to apply for funds
Each Teen Challenge Center must submit an application for any of the above listed resources to the Assemblies of God US Missions Finance office. Applications must be submitted by the following quarterly deadlines:

QuarterDeadline
1February 15th
2May 15th
3August 15th
4November 15th

A LFTL/AGUSM (Light for the Lost/Assemblies of God U.S. Missions) steering committee meeting will be held shortly after the deadline. Any applications received after the deadline will be held until the next steering committee meeting.

Applications may be obtained through the Adult & Teen Challenge National Office.

How Applications are Processed

  1. Fill out and send in your application to the address indicated at the bottom of the form.
  2. The form is sent to the Teen Challenge USA office. The designated Teen Challenge USA staff member will screen each application.
  3. Teen Challenge International, USA will then forward the application to the LFTL/AGUSM steering committee.
  4. Applications that are approved through the steering committee will be sent to the your AG district office for final review and response.
  5. The US Missions Finance office will notify you regarding the decision of the steering committee.
    *  Approval of the application does not guarantee the receipt of funds: it is contingent upon the availability of funds from the district.
  6. Your application is then returned to the District for funding.
  7. When a District has funds available for your request they will  forward them to the AG Headquarters.
  8. Once funds are sent to and received by the US Missions finance office, you will be notified of available funds.
  9. You may proceed in ordering materials ONLY as designated in your application.
  10. Funds allocated to your ministry that are not utilized within 60 days will be forfeited and the money returned to Light for the Lost.
  11. If you receive money directly to your ministry you will receive a Special Disbursement Report (SDR) (This is a pink form.) which you must complete as directed to show that LFTL funds that were donated to you were spent exactly as requested.

Do you want your LFTL application to be approved?
