This course will cover a few of the basics of fire safety. We will talk about:

• How fires work
• How fire extinguishers work
• How to safely use a fire extinguisher
• Basic practices for evacuation procedures

Please Note: This course includes basic principles of fire safety. Legal requirements vary by location. Every organization is responsible to consult OSHA, state, and local authorities to ensure their Emergency Action Plans & Safety Standards are up to code. Adult & Teen Challenge (ATC) staff members (not volunteers) should take the lead in emergency situations that occur by following their Emergency Action Plans. In case of fire, notify local authorities and ATC staff member immediately.
