Accreditation Update 2020 | San Francisco

The ATC National Office started accreditation reviews under our new accreditation strategy in January 2020. We made a video that takes you along to San Francisco to give you a glimpse of the new on-site review, as well as the heart behind the new accreditation strategy. Hear about the process from our team, as well as directors and staff in the field who are among the first to experience the new process. We’re excited to share this with you and hope it helps set a new tone for how ATCHQ is partnering with the field.

We are excited to release the ATC National Accreditation Standards document for 2020! The standards remain the same, but have been condensed into 6 Core Standards: IDENTITY, GOVERNANCE, MEASUREMENTS & OUTCOMES, RESOURCE MANAGEMENT, RESIDENTIAL OPERATIONS, and SPECIALIZED SERVICES. Each standard is followed by a list of Indicators that lead to compliance. An additional format change now includes evidence for each Indicator that will assist centers nationwide in knowing what documentation will be reviewed during an accreditation visit. The new layout better reflects the format utilized in the fields of education and healthcare and prepares ATC for growth as new programs and strategies to reach the lost are realized.

You can find the new document on the ATC Staff Site here: 2020 Standards
