Saved at the age of 13, when I sat in church all I could do was weep for my parents when I thought about them not being there. At the time, I believed I was just feeling sorry for myself because my parents were not in church; it wasn’t until years later that I realized that the Holy Spirit was interceding through me.
The deepest most powerful prayers you will ever pray will be prayers that have no words; all you can do is weep and groan. That is the Holy Spirit praying through you. Maybe you will have a specific person in mind and maybe you will have no idea who or what you are praying for. Direct it all to God. And don’t feel bad because you are only weeping, that is the Holy Spirit praying through you and you will never have a more powerful prayer because He is praying through you!
“Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.” Romans 8:26-28 ESV
May the Holy Spirit birth within us a spirit of intercession for our loved ones, friends, students, and graduates and even those who have left the program. And may we pray for the lost and those yet to enter the doors of our programs.
Join us at this year’s National Conference in Denver Colorado where our theme will be prayer and connecting to God.
