Could an Alumni Ministry be the missing component at your center?
Mike Conway
Out of all the hard work that our ministry spends in seeing lives transformed and discipled through our program we have only scratched the surface. Having an active Alumni Ministry gives our Teen Challenge family a way to stay connected, to grow and mentor each other after the program, and for us to be part of the rest of the New Life story as God unfold His plan in their lives. Join me in this break out session to get a snapshot of how to develop an Alumni Ministry at your center.

Motivational Interviewing
Jim Goins
Motivational Interviewing (MI) has become a widely accepted and practiced approach to working with anyone who is considering making changes in their life. The concepts of MI have a wide-reaching impact. MI takes the science of linguistics and predicts change based on how we talk to, build and respond to an individual’s motivation and ambivalence. Anyone who works with people in a helping profession can benefit from learning MI principles. In fact, if you are a helper, you are probably already doing some of the foundational skills. MI takes what you are already doing well and packages it to help increase the probability of change happening.
